Just Do It

I had lots of thoughts this week. Thoughts about kindness, peace, introspection and connection. As I sat down to write, “We Are All In This Alone” appeared at the top of the pile on my desk. I had been looking for it and then there it was, so I took a deep breath and opened it to a meditation. As is the case with these books, it took me to the perfect message. Enjoy and may the year find willingness for you.

WILLINGNESS

How willing are you to pursue your goals and aspirations? How many of you have real goals and aspirations? How many of you have forgotten them as life and time has plodded along? Do you feel hopeless about them? Lost? If you do not any longer remember what lights you up and what excites you, how can you be willing to purse those dreams? More simply, how can you be willing to work on your spiritual self or path if you do not know anything about it?

Beginning the journey to enlightenment is a simple one; you find the path and step onto it. How do you find the path? You can find it through prayer and meditation. You could join a meditation class that allows for you to hear your own guides and masters. You can go to a guru of sorts to find their method toward enlightenment. There are many ways, but none of them will work for you without willingness. What is willingness? It is the desire to discover, to learn, to give up dearly held beliefs and to explore the innermost recesses of your psyche. It is willingness to give up what you believe and seek the truth. It is the willingness to discover things about the world, yourself and others that have remained hidden from you. It is the willingness to give up judgment. It is the willingness to jump off the cliff of life on a bungee cord and trust that you will be caught and carried up and away into energy and emotions you don’t know are yet possible.

Now all this sounds very exotic and scary for we are asking you to leave the known for the unknown, but no one has said the journey must be immediate or that it will be. It is a process of discovery of unfolding or revelation. Yes, you will have revelations because it means simply that things that have been hidden will be revealed. Now many of those things will seem mundane, but when taken in the whole entirety will be revelatory. Exalt in the fact that you are willing to begin the journey for that is the greatest step, the first one. Do not worry if you dilly dally along the way or step off the path from fear or exhaustion for once you know where it is and where it leads, you will find your feet back upon it and your nose headed in the direction of love and understanding.

We leave you getting ready for the journey. Pack well but pack lightly.

We leave you in love and excitement.

Namaste
