Unrest
Do you ever have feelings of mild trepidation or unrest?
Do you have an undercurrent of worry that
permeates your existence?
Do you find things to worry about even though you
have no proof that they will occur?
What causes this anxiety, distress, worry and unrest? Fear is the obvious answer for you must be fearful of something or someone or some event. How real is the fear? Now, this is a difficult question because to you the fear is obviously real otherwise you would not have it, but is it really real? To help diffuse fear you must realize that you control very little. This does not sound like a comforting statement, but it is if you analyze it. What do you control? You control your reaction to things and that is pretty much “it” in the realm of control. You can maneuver situations, you can finesse things, you can attempt to manipulate circumstance, but you do not “control” the outcome. Much of what happens in life, most really, is at a whim. Nothing is really written in stone until it occurs, but your energies can affect the future. So how do you want your energies to be – at peace or in fear?
So, as you attempt to “control” the outcome, what energies are you putting into the event or outcome? Are you putting positive, loving, peaceful, sentient thoughts out there or are they worried, fearful, agitated thoughts? Do you envision what you want from the outcome in a calm and peaceful way or do you attempt to project your desire clouded with all your fears of what it “might” be? Do you get the subtlety of what we are saying?
Think of how athletes train with their minds. Do they see themselves stumbling as they run? Do they see themselves coming in second? Do they see themselves running out of breath for the final kick they need in the race? Do they see the track wet and muddy? No, as they visualize their race, they see themselves leaving the blocks easily. They see themselves running smoothly with enough breath, down a perfect track to victory. At least that is how they do it if they are at peace and confidence with their chosen sport. So, take some time to sit with a situation that is causing you unrest. Honestly evaluate how you are visualizing the situation. Notice what thoughts you are allowing in this visualization. Then take a few deep breaths and center yourself in the same situation. Think only peaceful, positive, loving thoughts about the event. See the results as you want them to be. Do not judge the results as “not possible” or any other negative attribute. Just run the race of this event in your head as you would want it to be run so that the outcome is that you win the race. Compare the energies and see which one causes peace and which causes unrest. Where would you rather reside?
We leave you in love and peace.
