Curiosity

As I contemplated what to write about, I was “told” to go to the blue book, “Going In to Find Out” and find today’s post. I did. Curiously, this is what came up. May it resonate at some level for you.

How curious are you? Do you spend a lot of time wondering about other people’s business, motivations, actions or lives? Do you read magazines or papers that delve into others’ lives so that you can live vicariously through their exploits? Do you revel in famous or rich people’s failings or missteps? Do you feel entitled to see their children or their homes? What makes you so curious about others? Is it a lack of your own life or perceived inferiority? Do you enjoy the gossip because it makes you feel that maybe their lives are not perfect either!!?

Curiosity is a wonderful state. It makes you explore the intricacies of life, if that is how you choose to use it. It is where you spend your curiosity that is of concern to us. Are you curious what it would feel like to sit quietly in a blissful state of nothingness and feel your Spirit/Soul soar to heights unknown? Are you curious how you could develop your Soul’s journey so that you could maximize the adventure of life? Are you curious about your gifts and ability to have insights? Do you want to know how to eat better, live better, love more? Those are things that should make you all curious. Many of you claim that you are wanting or desiring these things and yet you continue down this path of ignorance. Please do not be insulted by the use of that word, we mean it as an example of non-curiosity, not intellect. Within you lies a world that is so beautiful and magnificent that you cannot imagine the vistas that you would see and yet you choose to stay a tourist that only visits the borders of living.

Life is holistic. It occurs inside and outside of you. The external is easily accessible to you all. You open your eyes or your ears or any of your senses and you can fully experience what you want. That is if you choose to fully experience it. We find that you limit your Selves in the external as well as the internal world. Now we are not preaching for excesses in food, drink or physical exertion, but we are saying that many of you limit the experiences of life to keep your Selves “safe.” Perhaps this is why you become voyeuristically interested in the lives of celebrities and the famous. Perhaps this is why you revel in the reality programs because the “unreality” of those programs allows you to not journey very far out of your comfort zone. You can sit in your living rooms and watch other people risk their reputation, overcome their fears, put themselves on the line for their dreams and that is enough.

Is it? Is it enough to watch life happening from the sidelines? We think that as you watch “real” people on television you begin to feel that you wish you could have all those things as well. Maybe a record contract or a movie contract or win a million dollars if you can survive on an island. If you could do any of those things then – THEN - your life would be worth living. This is nonsense and you are all being lulled into a false sense of security and dreams. Get curious about your own life. Take the risk of finding out who you are and what makes you tick. Journey into the deepest, darkest places within your Self and find the magnificent brilliance of your being. Be curious about YOUR life, not just life.

We leave you seeking
